Lindenwood completes new 100,000-square-foot library

Lindenwood University's new $24.5 million library and academic resource center opened this weekend after more than two years of construction.

The new three-story, 100,000 square-foot library on the university's St. Charles campus replaces the 36,000 square-foot Butler Library, built in 1929. Many of Lindenwood's student services will also be based in the new building, including the writing center, veteran services, student and academic support services and career counseling.

St. Peters-based Blanton Construction was the builder and LePique & Orne Architects designed the building.
