Missouri OER State Action Team
Mission
The Missouri Open Education Resources - State Action Team (MOOER-SAT) supports collaboration and communication of Open Educational Resources (OER) efforts across Missouri's educational institutions, consortia, and state departments. By fostering partnerships and sharing resources, MOOER-SAT aims to advance the accessibility and affordability of education in the state.
About the Action Team
The MO OER State Action Team brings together individuals and organizations with a shared passion for building statewide capacity for the implementation of OER initiatives. We are one of 12 state teams that were formed in 2018 with the support of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC). Each team represents one of the 12 midwestern states that MHEC serves. Members of the team represent public and private 4-year institutions, community and technical colleges, library consortia, government agencies, and more. We welcome members from all levels of Missouri's educational community, including both higher education and K-12.
The Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) is a regional organization established in 1991, comprising 12 states in the Midwest, including Missouri. MHEC aims to enhance higher education access and affordability through interstate cooperation and resource sharing. The compact facilitates collaboration among member states in areas such as policy research, program development, and joint purchasing agreements, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education in the region.
