Technician III – Recording Services

Job Summary: 

Job Description: This is a technical position providing support for the Digital Recording and Braille Production for the Wolfner Library.  This position requires specialized training in the operation and routine maintenance of digital recording equipment and braille production equipment and software (Hindenburg Audio Book Creator).

Job Duties: Review and edit recorded books, monitor narrators, work with recording operations and equipment, use specialized equipment and software to produce materials in alternative formats like braille, work with assistive technology, and more. Salary Range: $1,232.50 to $1,274 semi-monthly

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficient in use of computers and Microsoft Office software. Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in Communications or related technical field or A.A. in Communications or related field plus 2 years of relevant work experience.
