Vice President Statement of Responsibilities
I. General Responsibilities
The Vice-President has the duties and powers of the President in the event of the President’s absence. In the event of the President’s death, termination, or incapacity, the Vice-
President exercises the duties of the President until such time as the Board of Directors shall choose to fill the vacated office. The Vice-President automatically succeeds to the office of President after expiration of their one-year term as Vice-President.
II. Accountability
The Vice President is accountable to the Board of Directors and Members as specified in the Bylaws.
III. Specific Duties
A. Acts as President of the Board of Directors in the event of the President’s absence, death, termination, or incapacity.
B. Understands the responsibilities of the Board President and is able to perform these duties in the President's absence.
C. Automatically succeeds to the office of President after expiration of their one-year term as Vice-President.
D. Participates closely with the President to develop and implement officer transition plans.
E. Serves as a member of the Executive Committee.
F. Serves as Chair of the Strategic Planning Task Force. Reviews the current strategic plan and recommends any needed actions to the Board of Directors for vote and approval.
G. Participates in developing and implementing short-term and long-term strategy planning for the corporation.
I. Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the President.
