Job Summary

The Missouri State University (MSU) Libraries seeks a Community Engagement and External Support Coordinator, who will be responsible for engaging the Missouri State University community, the greater Springfield community, the Ozarks region, and the entire state of Missouri regarding the mission, activities, and opportunities of the MSU Libraries. MSU is a dynamic and growing comprehensive university with over 24,000 students, located in Springfield, the third largest metro area in Missouri with a vibrant population of over 500,000. 

The Community Engagement and External Support Coordinator works with the MSU Libraries and partner organizations to identify needs and opportunities for engagement and external support of all types.  Primary responsibilities include publicity (including social media), outreach, public speaking, and the cultivation of various types of external support, including grants, private giving, and inter-organizational partnerships. Outreach to individuals and groups is an integral part of this position. Assists with exhibits and event planning when appropriate. Must demonstrate a commitment to, and aptitude for, providing high quality, effective community engagement services to diverse members of the campus and broader communities. 

This is a 12-month, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits.
