Law Librarian for Collection Management, University of Missouri Law Library, Columbia, MO

The University of Missouri School of Law Library seeks a Collection Management Librarian who will provide leadership to a team of staff responsible for all aspects of collection management: bibliographic access and control, collection development, acquisitions, serials, and digital resources. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, collegial, flexible and adaptable to change, a strong problem-solver, a team-builder, and an excellent communicator.

Qualifications

Minimum

Master’s degree from an A.L.A. accredited school of information or library science by time of appointment. Minimum three-five years of experience in a library technical services department or related experience.

Candidates will be evaluated on

A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school is preferred but not required. Previous relevant experience in a law library. Demonstrated interest in law librarianship through a combination of education and relevant experience.

Salary and Rank

Salary will be commensurate with experience. Depending on experience and qualifications, the person selected will be hired in the rank of Librarian II-IV. At the University of Missouri, law librarians are NTT faculty with security of position. Support is provided by the Law Library for professional development.
