Job Summary: 

The West Plains Public Library is now accepting applications/resumes for the position of Director of Library Services for the West Plains Public Library. The library contains a collection of approximately 85,000 items, with an annual budget of more than $500,000. West Plains, Missouri is a growing community of more than 11,000 residents serving a multi-county regional trade area of more than 100,000 people located in South Central Missouri. The position will be responsible for the operation and management of the library, including staff supervision of 10 full- and part-time employees, budgeting and finances, grant application preparation, public relations and community programs, library technology, acquisition and maintenance of the library collections, and short and long-term planning in conjunction with the Library Board of Trustees. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) with an MLS preferred, and one to three years related or equivalent library services and management experience. Salary range is $40,000 – $63,000 commensurate with education and experience, with an excellent benefit package.
