Job Summary

Taylor Library at Fontbonne University is seeking a Scholarly Resources Manager to organize, preserve, and promote historical records and special collections of the University, to manage the WorldShare Interlibrary Loan processes, to produce social media, promotional materials, displays, and events, and to support our growing digitization program. This position will also have significant responsibilities as part of the public services team, providing circulation services over the extensive hours the library is open.  The hours will be from 9 to 5, Tuesday through Saturday. This position is evolving and will be developing in new directions under the guidance of the Outreach & Archives Librarian.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to search and use online resources effectively
  • Ability to internalize library priorities and implement them in a complex matrix of competing projects
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and enforce library policies
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work, while still providing good service in a busy environment
  • Ability to contribute to the diversity and inclusive learning environment of Taylor Library

Preferred Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of Innovative Interfaces Inc. integrated library system: circulation, reserves, cataloging
  • Experience with Computer application software (MS Office)
  • Experience with preservation, care and storage methods and techniques for historical artifacts
  • Experience with OCLC interfaces and processes, including WorldShare
