AV Lending & Borrowing Implementation Procedures

Designating materials to loan:

• Each cluster will decide whether or not an Itype would be lent. All cluster members do not have to agree to lend AV. Some may choose to lend; others may choose not to lend. MOBIUS will help each cluster set up the appropriate Itypes to fit their needs.
• Once an agreement is reached a Help Desk ticket is submitted to either add a new Itype that is INN-Reach lendable which parallels an existing Itype, or use an existing Itype which will become INN-Reach lendable.
• Each cluster will check the loan rule determiner table to make sure the lendable Itypes would be lendable locally. If a parallel Itype exists, it will have the same loan rules apply as one that is not lent by INN-Reach.

MOBIUS Consortium Office staff will aid in implementation by:

• Setting up new Itypes as needed on each cluster’s server and setting them to be lendable by INN-Reach.
• Perform ongoing maintenance of the table of lendable INN-Reach Itypes.
