Barbara Glackin will join Southeast Missouri State University as the dean of Kent Library. When she begins July 18, she will replace Catherine Roeder, who served in the interim after David Starrett stepped down. Before joining the university, Glackin was assistant university librarian for resource services and technology and associate professor at the Branford P. Millar library at Portland State University.


University of Missouri libraries face cuts to academic journals because of budget shortfalls

The failure of a proposed student library fee and a potential decline in enrollment means University of Missouri libraries will have to cut back on subscriptions to academic journals and databases, Rabia Gregory, chairwoman of the Campus Library Committee, wrote Friday in a memo to campus department heads.

Ann Campion Riley Named Acting Director of MU Libraries

Starting July 1, 2015, Ann Campion Riley became the acting director of the MU Libraries. She will serve in this capacity during the 2015-16 year while a national search takes place for the next library director. Riley has served as the associate director for access, collections and technical services for the MU Libraries since 2007. Riley has been active in local, state and national library associations, and is currently serving as the president of the Association of College and Research Libraries.

Missouri's MOBIUS and Colorado's Prospector Announce Library Materials Sharing Agreement | Innovative

Emeryville, CA—MOBIUS and Prospector, the state-wide library consortia in Missouri and Colorado, have signed an agreement to enable library users in those states to borrow materials from member libraries of both systems. MOBIUS and Prospector use Innovative's INN-Reach consortial borrowing system to power their resource sharing.
