Job Summary

The library clerk reports directly to the circulation coordinator and the director of Access Services, as well as with the reference librarians, director of reference, inter-library loan librarian, and the dean of library services to assist in the daily operations of the Access Services desk, answering circulation, reference and general information questions, assisting with the lending and borrowing of materials, performing stacks maintenance, assisting with Access Services Department projects, and helping train new student workers.  The library clerk must be flexible to adjust the work schedule so as to accommodate changes in operational hours, including over university breaks and holidays and to meet staffing needs. The library clerk must be available to work evenings and weekends.
