MOBIUS Migrates North Texas Library Consortium

Columbia, MO - May 14, 2020 -- MOBIUS announced that the North Texas Library Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen ILS, successfully migrated and went live on its MOSS (MOBIUS Open Source Solutions) service on April 28, 2020. Previously, the Consortium was a self-supported Evergreen instance. MOBIUS performed data migration services and also provides data hosting and support to the Consortium.

 

The North Texas Library Consortium consists of independent libraries in North Texas that have agreed to share an integrated library system in order to better serve their patrons.

 

Library patrons can borrow and return materials at any location, drawing on the collections of all the member libraries, but each library maintains its own policies and independent administration.

MOBIUS (mobiusconsortium.org) is a not-for-profit, 501 (C)(3) tax-exempt organization that is transforming library services with cost-effective help desk, training, technical resources, courier management, and procurement services. The MOBIUS consortium is comprised of 78 Sierra libraries with 226 branches. Members benefit from shared services and technology expertise, and a resource-sharing network of over 30 million items. MOBIUS offers managed services for Sierra and INN-Reach, and MOSS, a complete hosting and management service for the Evergreen Open Source ILS. Offices are located in Columbia, Missouri and its customers and members span the states of Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, North Carolina, Arkansas, Texas, and Kentucky.
