OER System Leader Scholarship Winners Selected!

MOBIUS is pleased to announce the winners of the OER System Leader Scholarships!

  • Kayla Reed, Access Services Librarian, Missouri Southern State University
  • Lisa Farrell, Director of Library Services, East Central College
  • Megan Phifer-Davis, Outreach and E-Learning Librarian, Lindenwood University

The winners were chosen based on their current interest in the issues around open education and their experiences with working on OER initiatives at the campus level. They represent a variety of types of institutions and we are exited about the depth of knowledge that they will bring to our OER efforts.

They will attend the Open Textbook Networks Summer Institute and Summit to be held July 27-31, 2020 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The event provides a wonderful opportunity for attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding OER, the structure of the OTN's model, and to connect with a community of partners from colleges, universities and consortia around the county that are working to advance the use of OER. System Leaders work closely with Christina Virden, MOBIUS E-Resources Coordinator, to support and guide consortium OER initiatives by providing training, developing custom materials, planning activities for Open Education week, and supporting those doing Open Textbook Network workshops around the state.
