Job Summary
Job Description:
- Serves as both Federal Documents Librarian and State Documents Librarian;
- Performs all administrative functions related to the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), and the State Publications Access Program;
- Manages and updates the electronic repository for state government publications;
- Writes articles for relevant newsletters, reports, and websites about government information, resources, and publications;
- Updates government documents webpages with featured publications, new additions, and relevant resources;
- Provides reference assistance to state employees as part of the Reference Services Division professional staff, including on-call reference and research service;
Salary Range: $3,251 – $3,689 monthly
Required Qualifications:
Professional demeanor; strong attention to detail; excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities appropriately; ability to work well with colleagues and with library users; ability to work independently and to collaborate with teams; strong interest in metadata practices and the discoverability of government documents.
Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required. Previous reference experience, familiarity with electronic databases, and work with government documents is preferred.
